George Rettig died suddenly this afternoon at his home, 42 Wood Street.  He was working when he fell over and before the arrival of the family physician, Dr. Ecki, life was extinct.  The cause of his death was heart disease.

Mr. Rettig was 78 years old.  His aged wife and two daughters, Mrs. C. Flockerzi, Jr., and Miss Anna Rettig, a teacher in the public schools, survive him.
